House Screaming

They're not quite banging their shoes on the bannister (or the barrister) yet, but voting at the House today turned into a screaming match. The Dems were angry at the House leadership for holding a 5-minute vote open for 50-minutes so that they could turn around the winning votes. More at Think Progress. if anyone has seen and remembers the immortal SNL parliament skit "Questions for the Prime Minister," just try not to laugh when some house dem asks, "parliamentary inquiry: will I make my plane flight this evening?" The similarity is just eerie.

I wonder if he made his flight.

Incidentally, I think the calling the House a "banana republic" because they allowed more time for a vote is a little bit over the top.
