Trip to Death Valley National Park

Lee and I spent a night and a full day at Death Valley National Park the weekend before last. It's only about a 2 1/2 hour drive west of Las Vegas. Here are 24 photos from the trip.

the change?

i don't see why you rag on your camera so much - those pics were beautiful.

Yeah, I was gonna say you take amazing pictures, Marco.

Thanks, all. Lee took some of these pictures as well, of course.

It's a 2 megapixel camera, so the resolution of my original photos aren't really high enough to print high-quality photos. And I've had done some image enhancement to make them look better. Plus, there are some artifacts that are harder to see in the smaller photos.

As for the beard, sometimes a man wants a beard, and sometimes he doesn't.

Do people take you more seriously with
a beard? Do you take yourself more seriously with a beard? (these are both serious questions) Sorry for over-use of the words seriously and beard. Damn it! Did it again.

Slater | Wed, 03/08/2006 - 10:55am

I heard a rumor that Lee is a serious beard.

jon may | Wed, 03/08/2006 - 11:53am

Wait, does that mean I'm gay? Good.

crazymonk | Wed, 03/08/2006 - 12:35pm

For those who are not in the know:

BEARD
(LV - mid 1960s - v., n.)
1. To date a woman to prevent the suspicion of being homosexual.

2. A lesbian who dates or marries a homosexual to prevent suspicion of his homosexuality, or to help him socially.

3. A straight woman married to or involved with a gay man. The gay man may be in the public eye, and may have a beard to hide the fact that he is gay. "She is just my beard."

i would think the actor of the verb would be the woman, not the man. funny.
