the imagery does look cool, and the music is neat too. but i really didn't like the trailer as a trailer - it seemed like a random jumble of images without much pacing or mini-story or anything. I could auto-generate what was given by randomly culling 1-6 second clips and call that a trailer, but I think that misses the point. This trailer didn't make me want to see that film any more than I already did. And it's not like there's no cogent story or idea behind the movie, making a randomized trailer necessary - the thesis is printed below the trailer. So, yeah, the trailer seems sloppy.

sounds like you've never seen a barney film.
cremaster makes sense, especially if you read the book while watching the movie (which, admittedly, doesn't say much for barney's skill at visual narrative but whatever). And at least it takes its time poring over the beautiful and haunting images. this feels like quick cuts taken from long meandering shots and it just feels wrong to me.
Looks like a Titanic rip-off to me.
