Drug decriminilization in Mexico
The Mexican Congress just voted to decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana, cocaine, and yes, heroin, and President Fox is expected to sign it into law. What will this mean for their relationship with the U.S., w/r/t the Drug War?

well, it will definitely improve the outlook on illegal immigration. not.
"they're coming over our borders with heroin in their pockets, looking to steal our jobs, rape our women, and ensnare our children in the net of addiction!"
okay, i take it back, i will go back to mexico.
Why, did they decriminalize whippets too?
:P
though they are probably cheaper there...
Why weren't you going back to Mexico?
I predict this will have absolutely no impact on the relationship between the US and Mexico. Now pardon me while I sing the national anthem in Spanish.
how big of an impact will this have on spring break?
my transmission died while i was deep in mexico and i found to my chagrin that honda transmissions are not common there for some reason. On our first attempt to drive to san diego with the brother of the mechanic from the tiny town we wound up in to buy a new one the car we were in broke down in the rain. On our second attempt, bringing along the mayor of the town (to avoid conflicts with federales), we bought a transmission and hauled it back only to find we had the wrong one. On our third attempt we got to san diego with the mechanic and his brother and met his other brother and were told there weren't any available in all of san diego. Then we found one and bought it and went back to the tiny town and the mechanic got loaded on tequila and worked all night and fixed the transmission and, vacation ruined, we drove back to los angeles. 2 days later I took the car to my mechanic who told me that although they did a good job installing the transmission, they also did a good job removing my catalytic converter and oxygen sensor and replacing them with a pipe. That's why I was never going back to mexico.
