The Animated Question 7
We recently updated the web site for the marijuana initiative campaign that I'm working on. You should check it out there, but for the lazy, here's the new explanatory animation:
<<< Death by stingray Trailer for Let's Go To Prison >>>

Cute. (Though I'm not hard to convince.) I appreciated that CRCM put its sources at the end. Most ads for California ballot initiatives seem to rely on misinformation and out-of-context information to make their points.
That's really cool, crazymonk. Did you produce the video?
We hired Powerhouse Animations, a firm in Austin, TX, to do the animating and sound effects. I produced the voiceover recording, helped write the script, and was generally involved with the overall process.
Most excellent, my friend.
i'm in. is there a height requirement to get into one of those licensed dealer places?
not if you have a valid state licensed ID. although they might put up a sign saying, "we card anyone under 5'5"."
Nicely done.
i worry that the opposition will use the four images of people buying marijuana at convenience stores, liquor stores, and the other two places...since the big red circle doesn't come up until after they've been introduced. but otherwise i like it.
But those images on their own are rather innocent looking, so if that's the tack they take, I would question their political skiills.
well, i question my political skills, so maybe q7's best ally would be somebody like me working for the opposition. still, they do seem pretty happy in their activities, which one would presume would be, e.g., buying marijuana at a nightclub
why would you presume that out of context? because a creepy VO is saying, "Look at these people at a convenience store. THEY'RE BUYING MARIJUANA." Pretty egregious.
no more egregious than the reflection of an atom bomb in a little girl's eye, or john mccain's black baby.
