David X. Cohen on the new season of Futurama

David X. Cohen reveals some details on the upcoming new season of Futurama, which takes place two years after the last season ended. Quote DXC:

By the way, we are looking into producing a full 22-minute episode of Everybody Loves Hypnotoad for the DVD release. I am serious.

And I agree, a Hedonismbot toy would be fantastic. (via aicn)

Wouldn't "producing" a 22 minute version of Everybody Loves Hypnotoad just entail putting one second of film on a 22 minute loop? Wasn't Hypnotoad's show just Hypnotoad staring at the screen with that weird noise playing?

A good side feature to that episode would be the ability to simply have it loop so you could have Hypnotoad playing for hours on end.

Side note: I started watching the wire. I'm half way through season two. It's pretty good. I regret not watching it before.
