Roman Polanski's Pompeii

Roman Polanski is set to direct a big-budget thriller set in the last three days of Pompeii and based on a Robert Harris novel, estimated at a cost of $130 million. Evidently, it involves an aqueduct engineer and water corruption in Ancient Rome -- familiar territory. Looks like this'll be his most ambitious film since, er, Pirates.
