Earthquakes in Nevada

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake rocked northeast Nevada this morning (it'll be on this USGS map for a week or so) -- I slept through it since the epicenter was about 350 miles east of Reno. But it serves as a reminder that Nevada is one of the most seismically active states in the U.S.

Update: Also amusing is this article from the Reno Gazette-Journal two days ago.

Uh oh, you're trying to make this the Drudge Report.

But seriously, earthquakes can cause other earthquakes over long distances.
