Richard Clarke as VP?

Obama's vice presidential selection is looming, so I'm going to throw this one out there: could Richard Clarke be his dark horse pick?

Update: It turns out it's the more famous older white guy with foreign policy experience. Biden will be fun to watch in the VP debate.

I always wonder whether people who aren't politicians would really want the job. Being a politician sounds like mild torture to me, since pleasing everyone and losing sleep are both big parts of the job description.

And BTW, Joe Biden?! All those Delaware electoral votes and public gaffes would totally be Obama's!

Why him? I hope he goes with a lady, but not Clinton just to piss off the Clinton crazies.

VP: the job nobody wants but that nobody will turn down.

john adams thought the job was quite pointless indeed.
