Trailer for Visioneers

Trailer for Visioneers, starring comedian Zach Galifianakis. Among other things, it seems to be about spontaneous combustion and dreams about George Washington. (via fimoculous)

There is no excuse for confusing him with Andy something-akis!

He's pretty hilarious. Previously I only knew him from that Kanye West video. Visioneers looks like it's taking a run at Punch Drunk Love for saddest comedy ever.

Wouldn't that be Dr. Strangelove's prize to defend?

crazymonk | Mon, 05/12/2008 - 1:50pm

Hm, well, good point.

Jesse | Mon, 05/12/2008 - 1:53pm

they're both chunky guys who do comedy bits that revolve around making others feel awkward and they have similar last names. I think it's perfectly acceptable for me to have made that mistake.

This is one of the worst edited, disjointed trailers I have ever seen. There are funny moments, but it's mostly just a three minute long jumbled mess. It looks to me like I will be bored a lot watching this. CM, do you want to see this 'cause the lead actor has your hair and beard?

Upon first hearing the name Zach Galifianakis I thougt of that Andy Something-akis guy too.
Also reminded me of PDL. I didn't find Dr. Strangelove that sad.

The Rodenator | Mon, 05/12/2008 - 2:36pm

That might be because you didn't see it for the first time in 1964.

I agree that it's a weak trailer, but I am curious because Galifianakis is in the lead role. Could very well be shite.

I would go with frightening over sad for Dr. Strangelove. There is something about the mundane or the struggle to connect with others that I find more depressing than nuclear armageddon, which I find horrifying.

I'm not sure if there were any funny parts in that trailer.
